Didn't have time for a new watercolour today, so here's a Gouldian Finch for #Birdtober day 4 from my #CubistBirds archive

#Birdtober2026 #BirdArt

Drawing of a Gouldian Finch perching on a light brown coloured branch, looking to the right in his gloriously colourful plumage - from top to bottom - in dark red, turquoise, light blue, purple, yellow, white and black.
The bird is tessellated into triangles and coloured so that no two adjacent areas are in the same hues.
Goldfaber coloured pencils and black fine liner on white paper 15x10cm
