Panel 1: Arepo, a black cat in occultists robes, is drawing a large sigil on the ground by candelight. The sigil appears to have a skillet and bacon in it's design. Panel 2: Arepo holds up a ceremonial knife above a bowl of liquid on a pedestal, waving her hand over it. In the background, you can see a window with two faces- Clara and Florence- peeping in. Panel 3: Arepo pushes a marble down a staircase marked by a small sigil, kicked a small plastic boot from the Mouse Trap game. The marble will roll across a chute and into specially marked Dominos. Panel 4: From outside, Clara ( a goat with a witches hat) and Florence (a rat with twigs in her hair) gossip about the ritual. "So cool! What is she doing?" Clara asks. Florence responds, "A ritual to cook the *perfect bacon*"

Panel 1: Florence and Arepo are sitting on the couch. Florence looks rather awkwardly at Arepo to say, "So, uh... magic, huh?" Arepo doesn't reply, just "noms" on a whole barrel of cheese puffs. There is a knock on the door- "knock-k-k! k-knock! knock-knock!" (the "shave and a haircut" pattern.) Panel 2: Florence looks away from Arepo. "Oh thank gods," she says quietly, and then more loudly "The Door!" Panel 3: Florence opens the door to see a goat girl, with a dyed flop of blue hair, wearing an over-the-top outfit- with a witch hat, ribbon, puffy sleeves and skirt, and full-length stockings. The goat asks, "Hi! um... I, is this the magic club?" Panel 4: Florence slumps over a little. Florence says, "Yes- you didn't have to dress up." with a sigh. The goat girl looks at her skirt as she walks in. "Oh! This isn't a costume. It's what I call "Magic-Kai Wave" It's a fashion..." Panel 5: The goat beams, holding up her two-fingered hoof-hand to make a gesture that is intended as the "V-for-Victory" sign from anime. She says, "Something really whimsycore, y'know?" Panel 6: Florence tries to return the sentiment, but doesn't know what those words mean or how to replicate the gesture with three fingers. "S-Sure?"

Panel 1: Florence sets out a snack table with soda, Doritos, and two wheels of cheese, across from a beat up green couch. She hears three knocks on the door. Panel 2: Florence opens the front door, which has a wreath and a modified door knob- to reveal a giant black cat with white stripe whiskers in an occultist's robe, with a red eye symbol on the hood. The cat is too tall to ft in the door frame, looming over Florence and says, simply, "Hey." There are lots of plants on a modified ladder, and a shell-weaving, besides the door. Panel 3: Florence points at the cat. "H-hi...? You didn't have to dress up, y'know." The cat looks at her robe, shrugging. "I didn't? This is an old robe." Panel 4: The cat pushes past Florence, wiggling her fingers in excitement when she notices what's inside. "o-ooh!! Snacks!" Florence closes the door and looks mildly concerned.

Panel 1: A young furry (anthropomorphic) fox with multiple ear-piercings is pouring a bucket of salt onto the lawn in a circle. Panel 2: An older fox woman, wearing mom jeans, looks distressed to see this, shouting "Oh, Mary!! What are you doing?!" The young fox pouts and grumbles, "My witch name is INK-SHADOW-BLOOD." Panel 3: The mother looks irritated and says "You're going to kill the grass!" Ink-Shadow-Blood looks into her eyes and replies with anger, "It's a cleansing, mom! How about you stop being such a TYRANT!!" The salt can is still flowing, making a pile on the grass. Panel 4: The mother puts her hand on her hip and points inside. "Go to your room." Ink-Shadow-Blood screams and jumps, "This is JUST like the Burning Times!!" The salt bucket has been completely emptied and lays abandoned on an impossibly large pile.

Critter Coven is a slice-of-life comedy comic about the occult subculture- where the cast just happens to be animals!

Originally launched on 10/1/16, it will be re-releasing starting on 10/1/26. New pages every Tues + Thurs, and bonus art / content every Sun.
