The things I find difficult in starting my own business are having no one to brainstorm with and having to figure everything out on my own. And everything is new to me…
So it can be challenging from time to time.
I decide which books I recommend and what I think about them. For articles, I choose the subject, the angle, and I write the text myself.
I use AI only for inspiration, advice, layout issues I can’t fix, advice on writing improvements, and help with translations.
This week I struggled to focus on my articles. My mind felt crowded and the headache didn’t help.
A run in the middle of the day made things easier — I felt lighter, less tense, the headache eased, and I finally got some work done.
I always review it one more time — even when it’s already published. I never know what I might have missed. Perfectionism? Maybe. I just want my customers and readers to get a good‑quality product, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.
I’m still figuring out which type of lists and planning systems work best for me.
Right now it’s a mix of loose papers, Excel sheets, Word documents and small databases — not perfect, but it keeps things moving.
Starting your own business and doing it by yourself, means you’re responsible for every task, every decision and every next step.
To keep an overview, I rely heavily on lists and simple planning tools. Without them, things slip or I lose track of what’s next.
I’ll be joining Buffer Creator Camp over the next few weeks.
During this time, you’ll see posts about why I started this business, what I find important, and how things look behind the scenes. A small look into my process — all in English.
