Davidstow Airfield this afternoon 3 Buff-breasted Sandpipers and Ringed Plover #Cornwallbirds

After the excitement of the Upland Sandpiper, we slowed things down with some coastal wandering. The Lapland Bunting at Pendeen Lighthouse couldn't get much closer! We ended the day with a stunning sunset at Land's End, accompanied by Cornish Chough and a Bluefin Tuna boil. #ukbirding #cornwallbirds

Our luck continued for our final day in Cornwall today, when news broke of an Upland Sandpiper at nearby Woon Gumpus Common. After some searching (and rather innovative twitch tactics!) we both managed great views of this cracking little American vagrant. #ukbirding #cornwallbirds #rarebirdsuk

A brilliant day spent on the AK Wildlife pelagic today. Minke, loads of Common Dolphin, and breaching Tuna - but the seabirds definitely stole the show! 2 Grey Phal, 4 Sootys, 2 Balearic and 1 Great Shearwater the highlights. A privilege to see these birds out on the waves! #ukbirding #cornwallbirds

today judah and i went to Devoran and twitched the Lesser Yellowlegs, and also saw an Osprey preening after a meal on a dead tree branch. Afterwards, we went to Polgigga to twitch a Turtle Dove, after staying a while and nearly dipping, i found it just behind us!

After an enjoyable but unproductive morning seawatching at Porthgwarra, we went to check out the incredible Minack Theatre. Refueled on cream tea we headed to explore the idyllic Penberth valley in search of migrants. Firecrests stole the show in the end, with 4 birds seen! #UKBirding #CornwallBirds

After a relaxed morning at Marazion Marsh, we headed to Drift Reservoir in search of our first lifer of the trip - the juvenile Spotted Sandpiper. A bonus Black Tern flew in briefly too. Then off to Hayle estuary for high tide, and a few pints at the Star Inn to celebrate! #UKBirding #CornwallBirds
