Storybook innocence and something quietly uncanny.

A vertical watercolor-style illustration depicts a small, solemn girl standing in the center of a mature cornfield. Her disproportionately large head and enormous dark brown eyes dominate her pale face, giving her an intensely watchful, doll-like appearance. Tiny highlights glimmer within the glossy eyes, while reddish shadows beneath them deepen the unsettling effect. Wispy dark hair is parted near the middle and gathered into two long, thin braids that fall over her shoulders. She wears a simple, loose teal-blue dress extending almost to the bottom edge of the image, its surface mottled with scattered ochre and gold marks resembling reflected kernels or flecks of dry vegetation. Her arms hang straight at her sides, with one small hand visible against the dress. Tall dried cornstalks rise on both sides, their curled brown and tan leaves framing her like an irregular arch. Several ears of corn are exposed in the foreground, packed with individually painted golden, amber, brown, and bluish kernels. Behind the girl, increasingly faint rows of corn dissolve into a hazy pink and dusty rose background beneath a pale blue patch of sky. The visible watercolor-paper texture, translucent washes, fine hairlines, and delicate botanical details give the scene a handmade storybook quality while the child's enormous, unblinking eyes introduce a subtle folk-horror unease.
