A report on “positive tipping points” – thresholds where progress on environmental restoration becomes rapid and self-reinforcing – has found that clean electricity offers the biggest opportunity to trigger a cascade of transformative changes. They use an app to collect nesting data and take the eggs to an incubation facility, where they care for the turtles before releasing them.A new report from the World Meteorological Organization states that 2025’s Antarctic ozone hole was one of the smallest in recent decades. Despite annual fluctuations, results over the long term trend towards the healing of the ozone layer, testifying to the success of continuing global measures to phase out ozone-depleting substances like chlorofluorocarbons.
