The waning crescent Moon is top right and reclining to the left at about 45°. At bottom left is Jupiter, appearing small compared to the Moon due to it's great distance. Four small dots appear near Jupiter along a line inclined at about 45°; these are the four Galilean moons, Ganymede, bottom left, below Jupiter, then Callistio, Io, Europa above the planet.

The waning crescent Moon in a black sky reclining at about 45° to the left. Features can be seen across it's surface, including numerous craters on the upper and lower parts of the terminator. Dark Maria cover a large part of its surface and bright sunlight is illuminating the lowest parts of the limb. At the cusps of the crescent parts of the Moon appear completely detached due to deep shadow, along with a couple of other spots on the terminator.
