Going thru this thread considering my own parenting decisions, etc. I sometimes consult #CommonSenseMedia, & take kid to R films, but this one I've never seen has long been notorious decades later, so I steered kid to this version from 2023; she read it via library, a few times, in multiple formats:

I did glance & see that it says 15+, however—consistent w/ what I'd already ~guessed, so my almost-9 year-old who's in Spanish/English dual-language immersion will have to wait for *this* specific trauma.
