my epiphany for #colonoscopy was use babywipes rather than toilet paper. it eliminated the burning ring of pain that comes after you’ve made it through the second bottle of purge-ex prep and the gallon of water they expect you to drink after to clear the sluces.
Had my annual #colonoscopy yesterday. Shout out to Duke at Brier Creek, and the team who took such terrific care of me.
As the young anesthetist was putting me under, she asked what music I'd to hear.
Just got the twins squeezed. 15 mins in and out. Please remember to get your annual mammogram! Don’t forget your colonoscopies either. #cancerscreening #mmammogram #colonoscopy. Be well

My last #colonoscopy showed #endoscopic #remission, all my blood test results are in range except my #A1C is slightly high and my ferritin is going low so hopefully the iron supplement will get that up.
Could 5 years be enough after high-risk adenoma removal?
EPoS II found similar 5-year CRC incidence with 5-year vs 3-year surveillance, but the trial is still ongoing.
The real answer will come from the 10-year CRC outcomes.
Do high-risk adenomas really need 3-year surveillance?
EPoS II asks whether 5 years could be enough—with long-term CRC outcomes ultimately deciding the answer.
One of the best videos we’ve seen demonstrating the how and why of #colonoscopy over other screening methods. Those #polyps aren’t detectable on other tests and can turn into cancer! 45 and up? Get Yer Butt Checked! 🍑💙💪 #CRC #ColorectalCancer #Badass
