NEW: GOP Rep Gabe Evans and Manny Rutinel (D) repeated familiar talking points in their only, untelevised debate of the swing #CO8 race, continuing to avoid direct questions about their views and records

As Rep Evans and Manny Rutinel stick to their safe spaces (carefully curated events with supporters and friendly media interviews), here is what voters in the ultra-competitive #CO8 wanted to talk about: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljwr...

#CO8 voters told us they are worried about Evans' vote cut Medicaid, Rutinel's shifting positions on oil and gas and agriculture, and the plight of farmers struggling under tariffs.

Evans and Rutinel knew they'd face those questions. They declined to appear at the town hall.

Voters were frustrated that Rep Gabe Evans and Manny Rutinel are avoiding challenging questions from #CO8 voters and journalists.

"I don't see any interaction with the person representing me."

"I've completely lost faith."

"What does Manny Rutinel actually stand for?"

#CO8 GOP Rep Gabe Evans and Manny Rutinel (D) have not agreed to a televised debate and would not take voter questions at a televised town hall.

So 9NEWS held the town hall without them.

Health care was a key focus with one family after another sharing how they're struggling.
