#Churchyard #lichens at Kirkton of Tealing, #Angus. Many species indicating #sandstone and more nutrient-rich conditions. Flavoparmelia caperata on the northern edge of its range. Miriquidica leucophaea standing out as a #bioindicator of acidic #rock.

An elaborate iron gate fills the image, covered in a variable light green patina. The main section of the gate is evenly spaced vertical bars, in the center of them is a large disk shape – the inner portion has an eight pointed flower, surrounding that is a heavily detailed egg and dart section. The outer border of the gate is a scrolling floral pattern between plain bars. You can see the brown brick church beyond through the gate.
