You know people say things like, "Even if Trump isn't a Russian asset, there's nothing he'd be doing differently if he was."?

There's a similar thing for Chromium. Even if #Chromium isn't actively and officially hostile to downstream packagers and […]

If upstream genuinely wants to collaborate with the community, a good
start would be not treating downstreams as an afterthought. We need to
unbundle, we need to compile natively on architectures that Google only
cross-compiles for, and we need to be able to use system-packaged
toolchains without jumping through ever-shifting hoops. We need these
workflows tested, supported, and documented _as a recipe_ well before
changes like this land.

Honestly, phrasing this as "what might be done by the community" is
pretty telling. If upstream actually wants distros to continue packaging
an infamously massive and complex browser, why is the burden of adapting
to upstream-imposed churn placed entirely on unpaid volunteers?

Plattformsoberoende webblösningar, Danske Bank-style 😑

(Byter man till en Chromium-baserad webbläsare så fungerar inloggningen.)

Hur kan man inte ha råd att anställa kompetenta utvecklare om man är en f-ing bank?! 🤔
