#CHIvDEN Postgame, Abby Smith:

"The win & a clean sheet is honestly a great birthday gift...I actually think this is the first time...we're normally traveling, or it's an off day. I think this is the first time that I've actually had a game on my birthday."

#CHIvDEN Postgame, Abby Smith:

"It's really hard at the end of the season. So regardless of what place you're in, what the situation is, you always want to finish strong. I think for us, this game was a huge component of that. Getting goals and a clean sheet is important going into this break."

#CHIvDEN Postgame, Abby Smith:

"When people start saying there's no pressure to make playoffs...why are we playing professional sports? We want to be in playoffs. We're not going to be satisfied if we don't...pride in the club...pushing for playoffs...you want to win a championship."

#CHIvDEN Postgame, Nick Cushing

"...it's about progressing the ball to get in the final third.Thought we'd done that much better in the second half, and definitely much better in the moments we created chances."

#CHIvDEN Postgame, Nick Cushing:

"Haing four midfield players, whether it's two sixes and two tens in there, you can see that we can progress & dominate the ball...although possession to us is important...too many passes, possession doesn't win you games..."

#CHIvDEN Postgame, Nick Cushing:

"...because we did that really well in the home fixture, and I was really pleased that we scored the second goal from dominating that moment, playing forwards, and I think, was a really solid performance from everybody today."

#CHIvDEN Postgame, Nick Cushing:

"Two things I asked for today was: high energy, because we knew that this is almost a potential slip up, and dominate the transitions, whether that be dominate the moment they try and catch us or turn the ball over to create goal chances..."

#CHIvDEN Emma Regan:

I love playing with [Delanie, Tash, Lindsey]. They're good on the ball. We all try to play off of each other, when we can draw teams in, really overload that midfield space, it makes it easy to combine & the quality of Lindsey & Tash going forward is so crucial for our attack.

#CHIvDEN Postgame, Emma Regan:

We've set ourselves up well this game, obviously, we can't do anything about games that have happened. We have just the games in front of us and we have to take those one game at a time, nine crucial points to put ourselves in as much of the driver's seat as we can.

FINAL: CHI 0 | 3 DEN

A back to front victory for the Summit. Janine gets to 18 goal contributions on the season. Lindsey hits her 5th goal in 5 games. Abby gets a well-deserved clean sheet.

Unsure if that'll be awarded to Lindsey or Melissa, but Stars turn the ball over. Yaz Ryan counters up the right and lays it off to Lindsey Heaps. Heaps slots the shot in which ends of going of the shins of Melissa Kössler and redirects right and into goal.
