The Fire make a statement at Soldier Field in a game three months in the making, with both teams losing a star piece of their squad.

I think it's fair to say we don't win without Mbokazi being back as the core of our defense. Great work by Bamba to get back into it and hopefully unlocks him moving forward.

Lewandowski with the goal contribution to seal the game as well.

Good vibes all around for Fire and fans.

Lewandowski called unselfish, and not untrue, but he didn't have a great shot with the keeper's approach. Great pass to give Maren the likely closing goal.

Is it wrong I'm more excited for Pusa than Lewandowski?

Zinckernagel with a make-up goal within 5 minutes. Giving ourselves a bit of a buffer which we could still end up really needing with so much time left.

Müller in for the 'Caps at half, still no Lewandowski. But Berhalter isn't exactly the earliest at subs...

Fire in decent control of the game, but the counterattacks are dangerous and it's only a matter of time before they get one in.

The Fire might regret the missed penalty by the end.
