Bloekhartog_ stopped instantly with no flag marshalls or fire crews in sight, and risked his own life to get me out of the car. I don't remember anything between 30 seconds before the crash and 1 hour after it, but I will remember his incredible act of bravery for the rest of my life. One day I will tell our three kids this story and Loek will be the biggest superhero in history in their eyes too. I'm laying here tonight with 5 broken ribs, broken collar bone, broken hand and finger and a bruised lung, but it could have been much worse. Thank you Loek. I owe you my life for your selfless act today. Thank you to everyone for your kind messages. I will try and get back you now that I have a few days in bed. I'm counting my lucky stars tonight, that's for sure. Fern is on the plane out here and I'm surround by my team, my Taiwanese and Chinese family Team AAl. When I saw a car turning into a huge fireball far ahead, there wasn't really a decision to make. From what I had seen, I genuinely believed the driver might not be able to get out by himself. I stopped, got out and went towards the car. There was never a moment of doubt. And reflecting on it afterwards, I'm mostly grateful for the people I've had around me throughout my life and career who have taught me to recognise when something is bigger than racing and to live in the present. This is what living in the present is like. It was scary. There were moments where I didn't know I would actually be able to get Ollie out. But this isn't about what I did, and I'm sure many people in the same position would have reacted exactly the same way. I'm just thankful that I happened to be in that place at that moment. It also gives you an enormous appreciation for the safety standards we sometimes take for granted. When you see an accident that violent and a fire that large, you realise exactly why all of it matters. Most importantly: Ollie is okay. Today could have ended very differently. I'm incredibly grateful that it didn't.”

Bian Ye and 'Rio' lose the Pro-Am victory from Race 2 at Shanghai. The former spun the Milwaukee Mercedes-AMG of Bayley Hall and Zhou Bihuang in the first stint, earning them a 5-second penalty. It drops the Uno Mercedes-AMG from first to third in class.

Melvin Moh and Wang Yibo were in podium contention, however the latter was slammed into by the Apex Predator Harmony Ferrari of Zhang Huilin. The Uno Mercedes-AMG could not continue due to the damage. Liu Hangcheng and Min Heng took third in Am+ instead.

Brian Lee and Ruan Cunfan came out on top in the Am+ class in Race 2 at Shanghai. The BMW of Kang's Racing Company crossed the line just two tenths ahead of Li Hanyu and Ou Ziyang, who still finished second in class despite having been spun by Lu Wei.
