🍗 Chicken on a tree?!
Chicken of the woods is a bright sulphur-yellow bracket fungus found from June to November, often growing in tiered clusters on oak.
Its name comes from its texture, which is said to resemble cooked chicken.

Some young chicken of the woods possibly! My first sighting a week ago #mushrooms #chickenofthewoods #mycology
Holy CRAP THIS GROWS FAST, it's at least DOUBLED in size!!
I left some shelves on the tree so it can keep growing, and so others have a chance to get some too!
YOOOOO
ID NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD ***EVER*** COME ACROSS THIS
#FungiFriday!!!! Pearly-looking #TapiocaSlimeMold (as best as I can tell), the most perfect #TurkeyTail colony, delicious-as-fuck #ChickenOfTheWoods, moist #OliveBrownCup. #Ontario #Toronto #Fungi #Mushrooms
Some delicious-as-fuck #Vegan bullshit right here, folks. Found some #ChickenOfTheWoods while out walking the dog, so I whipped those meaty, stringy #fungi into a crunchy, juicy meal that #TheColonel would be fucking proud of. (Only took couple shelves from underneath so the bouquet still looks 💯%!)
