Rescuers spent the day searching through rubble at a destroyed apartment building, a children's & youth center & other damaged sites across the city. Although they left their garden and animals behind, they are still able to preserve produce using WCK's preservation kits. Only a small number of residents still remain in the village of Barvinok & they’re coming together to support one another. WCK provides food & water here because access to both is limited. Nina fled from her home in Novoselivka, Ukraine as Russian forces advanced on it. When she finally returned, her home had been destroyed. Today, WCK brought Nina a food kit. These kits are stocked with ingredients she can use to cook for herself again, a step toward rebuilding. #ChefsForUkraine

Kherson, Ukraine, is known for vineyards. But as Russian attacks on the region persist, many grape farmers are being forced to flee, losing large parts of their crops. WCK teams are working with these farmers, providing new vines so they can maintain and rebuild their livelihoods. #ChefsForUkraine

For a 2nd, WCK is partnering with the community of Tarasivka in Ukraine's Sumy region to cultivate a community field. WCK provides the seeds, seedlings, fertilizer & crop protection supplies. Come autumn, the harvest goes to approximately 230 families living in the community. #ChefsForUkraine
