Senate Bill 954 has been vetoed despite broad legislative and public support for the bill. #SB954 would have narrowed the "advanced manufacturing" exemption from #CEQA and restored baseline public health safeguards for communities near heavy industrial projects.

#SB954 retains the advanced manufacturing #CEQA exemption, while protecting the most vulnerable communities from exposure to toxic chemicals and contamination of air and water supplies.
