Larger ”stuff” was removed from the house yesterday. Today I donate loads of smaller items (china, glassware) to charity. Some pictures will go in mum’s care home room. The rest will be disposed of appropriately. #carer role is an ongoing onslaught.

Larger ”stuff” was removed from the house yesterday. Today I donate loads of smaller items (china, glassware) to charity. Some pictures will go in mum’s care home room. The rest will be disposed of appropriately. #carer role is an ongoing onslaught.
“Stuff” has been shifted. Other stuff is ready to shift. I need to clear out stuff. #carer clear outs are awful - the smells, the notes, the unexpected reminders - it’s all vile.

Spent six hours tidying, cleaning and filing. Plus filling up bags of rubbish and ‘stuff for shredding’ this is what 3+ years of being on standby as a distant #carer does for you.
