#StarTrekNemesis is such a disgrace it ends on an appropriately inappropriate note:
#CaptainPicard: “I don’t know if all this has made any sense, but I wanted you to know what kind of man he was in his quest to be more like us.”
#CaptainMacNeil: “You made no sense to the walking vibrator.” Ⓐ
On top of all the cliche we were subjected to in #StarTrekNemesis, we are subjected to additional cliche - when the #PicardClone reveals a knife, and attempts to gut #CaptainPicard. And we all know how this is going to go down. Ⓐ
Sample dialogue in the movie #StarTrekNemesis:
#CaptainPicard: “Now, Mr. La Forge.”
[THE CAPTAIN TRANSPORTS TO THE ENEMY SHIP, AND SPARKS FLY OUT OF THE COMPUTER.]
#LtCmdrLaForge: “That’s it. Transporters are down.”
#CaptainMacNeil: “HOW CLICHED!” Ⓐ
The #PicardClone is dying, in the film #StarTrekNemesis. Well, he DOES experience bouts of discomfort - but it just looks like he’s severely constipated. They say he needs a transfusion of #CaptainPicard’s blood to stay alive - but it’s clear he actually needs a transfusion of Picard’s feces. Ⓐ
#StarTrekNemesis is more of a lame action movie than anything else - this is most clear when a small army of villains (supposedly some of the most efficient troops in the #DominionWar) do nothing except shoot at various walls, while #CaptainPicard returns fire - killing umpteen million of them. Ⓐ
Also in #StarTrekNemesis, #CaptainPicard shows off an old photo of himself (as a young man) at #StarfleetAcademy. And it seems Picard was nailed by UNBELIEVABLY SEVERE male pattern baldness at an absurdly early age. Happens to the best of us. Though his clone shaves his own head. Ⓐ
So #StarTrekNemesis makes the hilarious claim that THIS MOVIE features #CaptainPicard’s most dangerous foe - his “nemesis”, if you will. And since the nemesis is a clone of Picard - the film is basically saying Picard’s worst enemy is himself. Worse than the #BorgQueen? Don’t make me laugh. Ⓐ
Sample dialogue in the film #StarTrekNemesis:
#LtCmdrWorf: “Captain, I do not think it is appropriate for a Starfleet officer to appear… naked.”
#CaptainPicard: “Oh, come now. A big, handsome strapping fellow like you - what can you be afraid of?”
#CaptainMacNeil: “You’re emphasizing COME, right?” Ⓐ
The climax in #StarTrekInsurrection is a tired cliche. #CaptainPicard (the main hero) has a lame shootout with the main villain. Who will win? Well, the main villain is so unmemorable - we forget him before the end credits. THAT GUY is more concerned with plastic surgery, than he is in doing evil. Ⓐ
In #StarTrekInsurrection, #CaptainPicard abandons his latest love interest, saying (paraphrased) “Well, duty calls. I’ll look you up when the war’s over!” Then he flies away in his spaceship, intent on never seeing her again. His track record with women makes him look like a closeted homosexual. Ⓐ
#StarTrekInsurrection sees #CaptainPicard romancing yet another woman WAY younger than he is - the old dog! Though technically, she’s over 300 years old - but physically appears about 40. So Picard’s latest “beard” is an INCREDIBLY HOT babe - portrayed by #DonnaMurphy (in her prime)! Ⓐ
Re-watched #StarTrekFirstContact, the movie that compares being assimilated by the #Borg to being raped. Even though #CaptainPicard was (briefly) assimilated years before this movie takes place - this is basically a (tame) #RapeAndRevenge film, as Picard gets his “revenge” on the Borg. Ⓐ
In closing, I would give #StarTrekGenerations a 10/10 - but I can’t. Why? Because I’m convinced it has a plothole - HOW was #CaptainPicard able to go back in time to BEFORE he entered the Nexus? It’s said in the film that’s possible - but it makes NO SENSE. So I shall give the film… a 9/10. Ⓐ
One of the main themes of #StarTrekGenerations is regret - #CaptainKirk’s regrets, and #CaptainPicard’s regrets. The film’s most powerful moment - is when Picard gets his wish fulfillment, and sees the children he never had. And THE MUSIC in that scene… moves me. Ⓐ

The best part in the film #StarTrekGenerations - is when the Enterprise-D is seen approaching on the Klingon ship’s main viewer (and visually, the Enterprise-D looks incredibly awesome). That imagery, combined with the audio of #CaptainPicard’s warning to the Klingons - is SO FUCKING COOL. Ⓐ
