NextGen’s 10th anniversary highlighting Cap & Invest Reauthorization.2025: NextGen partnered with environmental justice and climate advocates to strengthen and reauthorize California’s signature greenhouse gas emissions reduction program, Cap & Invest. The extension of the program puts California on a path to reach our 2045 Net Zero emissions goals while generating critical revenue for public programs and services across the state. There is still more work to be done to strengthen the program through the regulatory process and to ensure adequate levels of funding are allocated for community air protection programs in environmental justice communities. 10 years of NextGen Anniversary logo.
