The Cotton Boll Motel opened along Route 66 in Canute, Oklahoma in 1960, with 16 rooms, air conditioning, and a TV in every room. The motel is now private property, but its fantastic neon cotton-boll sign still survives as a Route 66 landmark. 🛣️
