Hey y'all! I'm LolCam, Calathea DuMarr's mom! I'm a gposer ( #HeartlessPoses, #XIVAPSnaps, #WoLSmooches), a writer ( #HeartlessFics), & co-president of the #CaLudo fan club. (@shaaloani.bsky.social & I like clacking the blorbies together)

Gpose of Calathea DuMarrBlack and white art party gpose of Isodahlia, an elezen. Her eyes, however, are still greenGoose of Calathea and Ludo kissing!Excerpt from the story "Elpis Flower"

Calathea rolls the flower between her fingertips, unknowingly echoing his earlier actions. The colors dance across her face as she meets his gaze with a gentle smile. “Midgardsormr said a little while ago that you wanted to tell me something. What did you want to say?”

And then a realization hits him square in the chest.

“SHE CARES FOR YOU, LUDO LEWIS. MORE THAN YOU KNOW.” A flash of a familiar blue behind slitted pupils, a blue he recognizes now, looking into her eyes. A color that he'd thought was nothing more than a trick of the light…

“…NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE…”

“…If anyone can pull off the impossible, it's you Ludo…”

Middy, you damned tattletale, Ludo thinks to himself as he recalls the dragon's words, and he grins like a fool. She saw everything, didn't she? Through that weird mind link they have. Which is a little rude, if I'm being honest, but… but she loves me.

That little thought, just three words long, bubbles up within him. It swells, higher and higher, surges through him, gives him courage, makes him bold and brave again because she cares, she feels the same way. She loves him.

Cal squeaks in surprise when he grabs her and yanks her back into his arms. But any possible protestations fizzle out when he clamps his mouth down on hers, when he kisses her with a passion unlike anything he's ever shown before. It's a kiss that speaks volumes, a powerful statement that nothing else matters except this feeling. This sacred knowledge that they care for each other, that they love each other. It's all they need.

It's all they've ever needed.

Finally saw a prompt for #FFXIVWrite that spoke to me.

Prompt 17: Fret.
#7.5Spoilers #FFXIVWrite2026 #HeartlessFics #CaLudo

Ludo’s eyes locked onto the little wooden rroneek as it spun between his fingers. Round and round it went, never ceasing. “Time moved so differently on the First,” he said quietly. “What if the Fourth is no different?”

Calathea joined him by the tiny shelf, filled with the knickknacks acquired during their travels. So many little treasures we've collected, she thought as she studied the shelf, her hand dancing over each one. A trio of shimmering quartz crystals, shot with little veins of gold, propped up the bright red paper fan the two of them had received from the Namazu. A toy dragon, fashioned out of tin, roared eternally next to a Hannish charm shaped like an eye. A pressed flower sat in a hand-carved wooden frame in the back, a lily from the fabled First Reflection Ludo had mentioned. (It was one of the rare flowers she'd owned that hadn't been stowed away in her hair, since she had been left behind during that particular trip.)

But her hand stopped over the paper boat.

It was a flimsy thing, made out of a half-crumpled Moonfire Faire flyer that had been carefully smoothed out for its new life as a seafaring vessel. Cal smiled as she picked it up, remembering the way the gaggle of grubby-faced children crowded around Ludo as he showed them how to fold the paper. The ink had bled slightly from where it touched the water, but it had held when they lowered the boats in the water, and the orphans whooped and cheered as the waves carried them all out to sea. …All save for this one.We believed we had all the time in the world, she thought as she held the little boat in her hands, after defeating the Endsinger. How foolish we were.

“Cal? Are you okay?”

Calathea's head snapped up. Ludo was staring at her, his brow furrowed in clear concern. She sighed, silently cursing her friend's ability to read her moods, and she shook her head. “I was so busy thinking about how we'd get there that I never thought about what would happen after. …Hells, Ludo, you were gone for months on the First, and barely a week had passed here. What if the opposite is true on the Fourth?” The paper trembled in her hands. “What if we come back and find out that the money we set aside for the apartment ran out? What if we come back and there's nothing left? A hundred days there could be a hundred years here.” She quickly placed the boat back on the shelf, if only to stop herself from destroying it before anyone else could. “I don't know if I could bear returning to the Source only to find out that everyone we've ever known and loved is dead.”Ludo set his father's carving down next to the boat and took her shaking hands in his. Warmth rippled through her as he brought them up to his lips, kissing the palms before pressing them against his cheeks. “It won't come to that,” he murmured, and a purr began rumbling to life in his chest as his arms wrapped around her. “Time only seems to move faster on the Reflections than on the Source. And while it's true that we don't know for certain if that's the case on the Fourth, Midgardsormr has already assured us that there are ways to check these things. I think we should trust him on this.” He planted a quick kiss on her temple. “We'll get through this, I know it. So no more fretting, okay?”

“Okay.”
