That's why @cpoc.bsky.social is proud to endorse #CallThem, an initiative developed by Dr Mike McCabe. The campaign encourages recovery teams to make a brief courtesy call to a patient's nominated next of kin once the patient is awake, stable and settled in recovery.

A simple call can make a significant difference. When a loved one is in surgery, the wait for news can be one of the most anxious parts of the perioperative journey.
