🌍 That’s a wrap on #CAIC26!
Together, we showed that local climate action delivers - and that by working across cities, countries and levels of governance, we can build a stronger Europe. 🇪🇺
A huge thank you to everyone who made these two days so special. See you next time!

🐐 Firefighter goats, energy elves & a trans-municipal coalition for a ban on cigarette filters.

That’s how we kicked off day two of #CAIC26 with our Climate Kitchen - bringing together creative, inspiring and sometimes unexpected examples of local climate action.

👉 Stay tuned for more insights!

Closing day one of #CAIC26 with a series of townhall sessions with EeroAilio, LaurenceGraff & Diana Ürge-Vorsatz.

What made these conversations special was the exchange across levels: bringing the local perspective into dialogue with the European policy level and the latest scientific insights.

🌍 Cities are where climate action happens. So why isn’t climate finance reaching them at the same scale? In her keynote at #CAIC26, IPCC Vice-Chair Diana Ürge-Vorsatz highlighted a mismatch: the importance of cities is not reflected in their share of climate finance & climate-related budgets.

🎉 We’re officially underway!

#CAIC26 has kicked off this morning with the Climate Alliance General Assembly 2026 in Brussels.

Over the next two days, we’ll showcase how local climate action delivers, and how, by working together, we can build a stronger Europe.

Follow along here for conference.
