Utilityfair wholesale natural gas market update for September 2026. Irish wholesale natural gas is currently trading at 180.64 pence per therm. The update identifies Middle East developments, LNG supply and winter demand as key factors likely to influence the gas market over the coming months. Forward gas prices are approximately 35% higher than at the same time last year, with new business gas contracts showing a similar year-on-year increase.
