Despite the slight reduction from August, new business electricity contracts are approximately 25% higher than at the same time last year. A line chart titled “Monthly Average Wholesale Electricity Prices” shows monthly Irish wholesale electricity prices from March 2025 to September 2026. The chart illustrates an overall upward trend, rising from around €131.66 per MWh in March 2025 to a peak of €170.57 in August 2026 before easing slightly to €168.39 in September.
