Cameron hosted this month’s Golf themed #BlindDrams - #BTC68 It’s Your Round 🥃⛳️🏌️♂️. Five drams tasted blind. Hard to separate drams 3,4 & 5 - but I think the Ballindalloch was the highlight! 🥃👌🏻

✍🏻 My notes 🧵
Scores: 1,2,3,4,5
#BlindDrams #BTC68
Dram 5 - Score: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 - I'd suck the sweaty toes of a senior brand executive for the opportunity to have a single drop more of this. Bizarre as it seems the progression continued all the way to the final dram, really enjoyable 5/5
#BlindDrams #BTC68
Dram 5 - The finish: Lingering finish, phenolic reside just keeps repeating itself, in a good way
#BlindDrams #BTC68
Dram 5 - On the palate: Sweetness combined with smoke, dry roasted peanuts,
#BlindDrams #BTC68
Dram 4 - Score: ⭐⭐⭐ 3/5 - Damn drinkable and if within my price range, I'd happily buy (or have bought) one of these and enjoy it. The progression continues, enjoyed this and have no hesitation in giving it a 4/5
#BlindDrams #BTC68
S5: Couldn't go higher than 3 here, just a little too burnt for my palate
#BlindDrams #BTC68
Dram 4 - The finish: Lingering pleasures, warm and spicy
#BlindDrams #BTC68
Dram 4 - On the nose: Dark fruit, over ripe brambles with a sprinkling of spice #BlindDrams #BTC68
Dram 5 score - 4
Maybe it's because the nights are fair drawing in but this one definitely hits the mark tonight. Best til last!
5th and final dram in this month's #BlindDrams #BTC68 "It's Your Round!" hosted by Cameron
E5: pale orange
N5: smoky and sweet; orange creme caramel, smoked trout and lemon juice, barbecued pork and chilli sausages
Dram 5 palate - take a mug of fruit tea, add a couple of sugar cubes & enjoy with a big fat cigar. Or, drink this dram!
Dram 3 - Score: ⭐⭐⭐ 3/5 - Damn drinkable and if within my price range, I'd happily buy (or have bought) one of these and enjoy it. Progressive scoring, an enjoyable dram that delivers a nice balance on the palate which continues on the finish 3/5
#BlindDrams #BTC68
Dram 5 nose - smoky & meaty, but quite mild with it. Tobacco notes on the smoke, with a hint of sulphur.
Dram 4 score - 1
This one disagreed with me big time, sadly! Sharp & unpleasant on the palate.
P4: thick, sweet and effervescent; refresher sweets, red skin peanuts, licorice root
#BlindDrams #BTC68
S4: Another solid 3, very tasty and multi-faceted
Dram 4 palate - oh dear, not good. A ripe raspberry dipped in paintstripper. Drop of water can't rescue the situation, sadly.
Dram 1 - Score: ⭐ 1/5 - I'd drink it if given to me as a gift, but wouldn't waste my own money on a bottle. Not a fan, uncontrolled spice and a finish that’s just too raw 1/5.

4th dram in this month's #BlindDrams #BTC68 "It's Your Round!" hosted by Cameron
E4: chestnut brown
N4: dark and fruity; mince pie, fly cemetry (dark fruit cake), raspberry liquer, olive oil, blu tack
Dram 4 nose - red wine cask? Certainly strong red wine notes on the nose. Quite heavy, red apples & grapes too.
