Safety Card Sunday - ex OC, American Airlines BAe-146 Safety Card.
.
#American #BritishAerospace #Bae146 #SafetyCard #travel #Avgeek #Aviation

A two-sided aircraft safety instruction card for American Airlines, identified at the top as “BAe 146”. The card has a white background with black text, red accents, and a series of color photographs demonstrating emergency procedures. The upper right contains the American Airlines name and logo styling, while the upper left reads “FOR YOUR SAFETY.” “PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THIS CARD FROM AIRPLANE.”The second page of the American Airlines BAe 146 aircraft safety instruction card has a white background and is divided into three principal sections: emergency exit operation, brace positions, and emergency exit routes. Across the top, a large heading reads “TO OPEN DOOR EXITS AND INFLATE SLIDES.” Four sequential color photographs demonstrate operation of an aircraft emergency door. The first photograph shows an aircraft exit door labeled “EXIT”, with operating instructions and a handle visible on the door. The second shows a female flight attendant operating the door mechanism. The third shows the door being opened outward, with the emergency slide beginning to deploy. The fourth photograph shows the flight attendant moving through the opened exit and onto the deployed slide, with a white upward arrow indicating the direction of movement. Below this is a section labeled “BRACE POSITIONS.” Two color photographs demonstrate emergency landing positions. The first shows a passenger bending forward with the upper body lowered toward the legs while seated, with the head and arms positioned protectively. The second shows another seated passenger leaning forward with the head lowered and arms positioned in front of the body. The lower portion of the page contains a large boxed diagram titled “EMERGENCY EXIT ROUTES.” At left is a color photograph of an aircraft passenger cabin viewed down the center aisle. Rows of seats line both sides of the aisle, and white arrows indicate the direction passengers should move toward exits. The diagram also identifies “AISLE LIGHTS” with a series of small illuminated lights along the floor. An inset illustration shows passengers using an evacuation slide and includes the instruction “STAY ON YOUR FEET AND JUMP.” To the right, a simplified side-view diagram of a BAe 146 shows the aircraft's emergency exits and evacuation paths. Large colored arrows extend from the aircraft toward the exits, indicating the directions passengers should take during an evacuation. Multiple exit locations are illustrated around the forward and rear portions of the fuselage, with the arrows leading passengers away from the aircraft. The lower right corner is marked “PRINTED IN U.S.A.”, while the lower left carries the card identification “OP 146.” The overall page combines photographic demonstrations, instructional diagrams, arrows, and clearly labeled emergency procedures to explain evacuation procedures aboard the BAe 146.

Had a little trip with the Grandkids to British Aerospace Museum at Filton, Bristol a few days back. Great up-close look at Concorde. I can remember seeing one fly over my house as a kid. #BritishAerospace #Concorde
