Superb cartoon by #Banx - truely amazing how he manages to tell the story. The impoverished Brits and the money required for a new and expensive defense system: 'Britanniashield', promoted by the Conservative Party - #Tory #UK #England - #BritanniaShield #Rearm #Britain + #Europe - #Cartoon #Art

£10bn for a British “Iron Dome” sounds impressive until you ask what £10bn actually buys. We already have air-defence systems and are expanding them. The question isn’t whether Britain needs better air defence. It’s whether this is the smartest way to spend £10bn. #Defence #BritanniaShield

Former RAF Air Command deputy commander Air Marshal Greg Bagwell said £10 billion might protect some key sites (e.g. London) but not the whole UK, and cited US “Golden Dome” concepts in the $200 billion-$1 trillion range. #Badenoch is away with the fairies!

'I'm no defence expert' either but I do know you are not going to build the 'Britannia Shield' #Badenoch is talking about for £10B.
General Sir Richard Barrons has stated an 'entry-level' system will cost £80B minimum, £120B for something more comprehensive.

So the Tories newly proposed air defence system is not called #IronDome as they referred to it in their press release. According to Ms Badenough it is now to be called #BritanniaShield, or BS for short.

Completely mental from #badenoch and the #tories. Where's the money coming from for this pie-in-sky #britanniaShield thing and in what possible way is it going to help #costofliving?? People want help NOW! *Checks links to arms firms and Tory leadership*

Oh my, that makes #KemiBadenoch #BritanniaShield even more stupid. She'd need a Data Centre the size of Kent to crunch the numbers on Radar output alone. Is that a Drone or is it Harry the seagull stealing chips?
