A few sprinkles may be reaching the surface around the eastern half of the Iron Range region. Otherwise, it is a dry and sometimes sunny day to end the first weekend of October.Temperatures in the Northland just after 1:30 p.m. on October 4, 2026, range from 55 to 64 degrees Fahrenheit.Wind speeds in the Northland just after 1:30 p.m. on October 4, 2026, range from 6 to 20 mph. Wind direction is primarily from the northwest and west.Freeze alerts are in effect for nearly all of the Northland from 1 to 9 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2026. A Freeze Warning covers Ashland, northern Cook, Iron, northern Itasca, Koochiching, northern Lake, northern St. Louis, and central St. Louis counties, where temperatures could drop just below the freezing point. A Frost Advisory covers Aitkin, Bayfield, Burnett, Carlton, southern Cook, Douglas, southern Itasca, southern Lake, Pine, Sawyer, southern St. Louis, and Washburn counties for low temperatures just above the freezing point.
