Let's do a #Brakeman release on Monday. Lots of contributors this time around - thanks for everyone's continued interest and involvement!
I have a test corpus of 580 Rails apps I use to test #Brakeman changes. I originally described this approach way back in 2013 (https://blog.presidentbeef.com/blog/2013/11/01/testing-brakeman/). None of that still exists, though! At some point I rewrote the dashboard and dropped RethinkDB. Then I […]
Geez, between Linode, DigitalOcean, and AWS, I was spending ~120 USD/month on things I barely used. Considering my life is 99% CAD now, that's significant. Moving to 10 CAD/month VPS and running #Brakeman corpus tests locally. It's faster and more reliable than my poor AWS orchestration 😆
I also tore down the AWS infrastructure I used for testing #Brakeman. It was pricey (I mean, for what I'm doing) and kind of slow. I'm thinking it might be faster and cheaper to spin up a beefy server to run the test corpus when I need to instead of coordinating Lambdas.
