90% of BLs are…happy and that’s great but I need a helping of toxic yaoi every few months. I’m hoping #FoolInLove turns much more twisted going forward and I currently have the depressing and very fucked up #BoyWithCaution to scratch my itch.

There’s a lot of depth here. Many layers to the characters. Gripping stuff. #BoyWithCaution

Sorry. I think I didn’t explain myself properly. They’ve made his age clear so the dubious legality of a relationship with a minor is put to one side. Which then enables the age gap (11 years) and power dynamic (student/teacher) to still be in play. And they haven’t shied away. #BoyWithCaution

Indeed. A neat and concise bit of storytelling. I like that we, the audience, are being treated as adults who can read between the lines. (Also that we’re not going to freak out unnecessarily about some student/teacher dubious consent stuff!) #BoyWithCaution

Agreed. They’re not romanticising the main pair at all. It feels more like an act of desperation and pursuing the only person who’s shown HyeonJae any care, rather than attraction (either physical or romantic). He’s just trying to hang on to him. #BoyWithCaution

It’s even hotter given that GiWoo is the teacher with supposed power over HyeonJae as a student. But then they’ve been at pains to show how weak GiWoo is in the school hierarchy, both compared to permanent staff and the scary director. #BoyWithCaution

Can we talk about how much taller, bigger, stronger HyeonJae is? Him physically overpowering GiWoo like that in ep 4 did something to me! 🔥🔥 #BoyWithCaution

Exactly! He’s super evil/mean, but smoking hot with it. (I guess to even things out!) And in the preview for ep 5, he looks even more 🔥🔥 in that black outfit. #BoyWithCaution

I thought it was really interesting how the end of ep 4 was a deliberate fade away over the kissing scene. HyeonJae pressing forward, GiWoo seemingly dazed and frozen in place. How much was he actually kissing back? #BoyWithCaution
