TCM’s Star of the Month this September is “KHAN!!!”

Oooh, I mean . . . the suave & handsome RICARDO MONTALBAN. His day starts off w/some nice colorful easy MGM musicals, and then the primetime hours go dark. Very dark.

Last time I saw the movie was in 2014.

Know her? Sure, I knew her. I was never close enough to smell her perfume, but I knew her! #BorderIncident #TCMParty

Need to call it a night.
Enjoy the rest of schedule folks.
BTW: @davekarger.bsky.social 's book sounds interesting. I need to look it up.

Wait--Juan was James Mitchell (Palmer Cortlandt) from All My Children? Mind blown.
#BorderIncident #TCMParty

If nothing else, Montalbán's performance here indicates that he would probably have done a good job in "Touch Of Evil" (IYKYK).

Quicksand... one of the biggest fears of Gen-X kids growing up.

How do I know you won't double-cross me?/You don't. It's dealer's choice and I'm the dealer. #BorderIncident #TCMParty

Yes.
I remember seeing it in an old BBC documentary on film noir, but couldn't place it at the time. What is interesting is that - compared to films today - they really didn't show all that much - Your imagination fills in the blanks.

That's terrifying

Turn away folks.

That truck takeover was kind of Raiders-esque.

Pablo is making like James Bond. Yeah, I've seen that kind of scene in a Bond movie.

Oh no.
Cover blown.

My Ricardo Montalbán fan fiction es como #BorderIncident

Holy crap.

I just looked him up (he was apparently an inspiration to Reagan🙄)--he once claimed that Mexican immigrant farmworkers were "built low to the ground, you see, so it is easier for them to stoop."😬

Tom Lehrer satirized Murphy's comment in a song about him.

I came up w/3 hashtags for Ricardo Montalban: #SmilesEveryoneItsRicardoMontalban,
#TheWrathOfRicardoMontalban and #RicardoMontalbansCorinthianLeather #BorderIncident #SOTM #TCMParty

They have been showing September #SOTM Ricardo Montalban's films all day. Thankfully in primetime, we are getting the adult stuff that's not the films shown earlier which were fluff. #RicardoMontalbansCorinthianLeather #BorderIncident #SOTM #TCMParty

It just occurred to me that while I've never seen all of "Border Incident" the harrowing scene was featured in a BBC documentary on "The Rules Of Noir". Hint: it involves a tractor.

Fonzie Bedoya AND Art Hunnicutt?!? 🎁🥲
#BorderIncident #TCMParty

Every time I see Alfonso Bedoya, he's trying to bogart someone's clothing.
