To quote an old meme: You had ONE job! #Bootlegs

A bootleg toy I found in a store called the "High Definition Telescope". The packaging has a Sonic the Hedgehog theme, with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Jet and the Sonic Chronicles logo on it. The problem? The toy itself is a pair of binoculars, and it's themed after Super Mario instead, complete with the Super Mario logo, and renders of Mario, Luigi, a Koopa Troopa, Bowser Jr., Kamek, and for some odd reason, a Spiny Cheep Cheep eating a bunch of dots like it's Pac-Man.

For your enjoyment, I present to you the poorly translated subtitles from a bootleg DVD of The Simpsons Movie (2007). #TheSimpsons #Bootlegs

A thread 🧵

The proper beginning of the film with "Die Simpsons" logo in the clouds, as this bootleg uses a cam recorded German version of the film; Die Simpsons: Der Film, as the video source, and a different source for the English audio. Insert Cape Feare joke here. The subtitles simply say "The Simpson Movie" (sic).

Saw this bootleg Tangled DVD in a thrift store today. Great tagline. #Bootlegs

The back cover for a bootleg DVD of the animated Disney film Tangled. The tagline "They're taking adventure to new lengths" is misspelt as "They're taking adventure to new lengths." The special features inexplicably lists those for the film Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, and the movie credits on the bottom are those for the film Leaves of Grass.
