@ Ive written a piece for #SomethingEveryday #Booka.

Not quite sure how well it works...
But here we go.
(I wanted to fit #Wurb in too, but failed on that front 🤣)

At night, when all the doors are closed
And lights off at the library
Then anyone who passes by;
If they should listen carefully,
May hear a muffled chewing sound
To spark their curiosity.

And should they find their way inside
Past window bars, and bolted doors
That inquisitve passer by
Might not believe quite what they saw
With books in piles upon the ground,
Their pages strwn across the floor.

And in-between the shelves wud crawl
Round half a dozen Gastrobib
(A large, nocturnal, purple wrm
That had, between the rafters hid.)
Who'd tare thru pages, word by wrd
Devouring letters as they did

nd evry book they came acros
Thy'd pres the papr to ther face
Thn suc the ink frm of the page
All leters gon
withou a trace
