A tall majestic looking white egret stands off to the side of the walking trail. Wetlands filled with green, brown and tan vegetation. A strip of water is seen in the distance, A light gray and tan footpath is seen along the right edge of the frame leading off into the distance. The bird has an s-shaped curve to his/her long neck, a yellow bill and eye seen in profile, and black legs.

Perched on bare branches of a tall dead tree, sits a turkey vulture. S/he likes all things dead! The all black vulture faces the viewer, but we are looking up at him/her. S/he has her head turned slightly to the side so we get to see the leathery, naked red skin of the head in all its glory. The black is cream colored. The background is clear blue skies.

A female tern is crouched in the tan and white sand with a male standing on her back. They are both mostly white with light gray wings and a black crown and eye stripe. The male above holds a small silver fish above the open beak of the female below.

Walking in the shallows with sea grass poking up through the water, we see a mostly black and white bird with a long, thin black beak. S/he has extra long pink legs and s/he is in mid-stride. The water surface is dark blue with an upside-down reflection of a marbled godwit at the top of frame with its signature half pink-half black long bill.

A light and dark gray heron runs from water to a small island of reddish green vegetation. Speared by its lower mandible is a round ray fish and we see the great blue heron in profile. There is a water splash from the bird's elevated right foot as it runs to land. The wings are partially outstretched to each side.

A white-bodied bird with brownish black wing feathers edged in white swims around in gray waters. S/he has a needle thin black beak and a black stripe down the crown and behind the right eye.
