In honour of #WorldDolphinDay here is a poem about a dolphin inspired creature from my world of Pandea.

The ripples of the future
Fill the echoes of the past,
The way ahead is written
If you read what happened last
And in between the pages
Of our chequered history
Lie secrets only seen by
Mystical Delphoricae.
They spend their lives secluded
From the world, beneath the waves
With highly tuned receptors
To temporally locate
The moment when disaster
Will occur, both great and small
And set aside precautions
To avoid what might befall.
These calm and gentle critters
Laugh and sing their lives away,
But beware what fate is plotting
Should they ever cease their play.
