I was debating about if I would share this or not but I spent more time than I would like on it so...here's my timeline of Oki's design! There's some versions missing but these are the ones that survived for more than a day 🏃‍♀️ it was fun to write down my creative process like this!

A timeline of my Au Ra ffxiv OC - Oki - design's through the years i've been playing the game.

Transcription:

1 - My very first Wol (September 2021): she was "replaced" by Yisu in November :(

2 - First redesign: Oki (May 2023)

3 - Second redesign: Ella Theia(March 2024): Played around the character creator until settling on face 3 and created a Raen OC - Ella. Went with the color red since it was yisu and nuri's og main color.

4- Ella: Pre and Early DT (June - July 2024): Completely redid her character because I didn't like how the above looked in the DT benchmark. Chose Xaela to match the purple colorscheme and eventually swapped her hair back to Oki's black for easier glam combos.

5 - Ella: Post FFXVI Era (November - December 2024): I got super inspired by Jill and Clive from FFXVI and changed her colorscheme to reflect them. Her personality also changed to something more akin to Oki.

6 - Back to Oki (September 2026 - Current): Oki and Ella fusion.
> Face 2 Raen scales (can't wait for the Evercold Au Ra update!!!)
> Back to Oki's black hime haircut once again!
> Her rbf continues.
> Return to Oki's Othard roots instead of Ella's Ishgardian ones.
> Green as her accent color because I always wanted to use it on an oc. Oki's original blue is already being used as an accent color for Yisu.

i've been playing around the aura character creator again 🫡 im actually working on a aura oc (oki/ella) design timeline because she's the ffxiv oc i've changed the most throughout the years and wanted to put it all down somewhere!
