I built BibKit for researchers who use BibTeX. Import, search, organize, and export references on Mac, iPad, and iPhone.
I’d love your feedback:

I'm grateful and happy to announce that Badness (github.com/jolars/badness), my language server, formatter, and linter for #LaTeX and #BibTeX, has received a grant from @texusersgroup.bsky.social from the TeX Development fund to help improve LaTeX formatting and BibTeX parsing and linting!
{bibtex} 0.5.3 is on CRAN with better parsing of:
1. Comment lines
2. BibLaTeX dates and journaltitle
Fun fact: base R 4.6 uses {bibtex} for its new \bibshow help-page citations.

Bash can be a lifesaver!
I had a problem with citations in Zotero. Whenever I added a citation to my paper, sometimes the references got corrupted. I had to correct them manually.
Now, I get a corrected BibTeX file via this tiny Bash script.
The leaf blowers and idling engines and vacuuming have gone, and I am very very slowly cross-checking the notes left for me in the bibliography (and improving my #BibTeX entries as a side-effect)... There doesn't seem to be enough coffee possible to make this fast or fun.
