#Wallsend #NewcastleUponTyne #Benwell On this day 10th October 1843 the famous Mining Engineer John Buddle died at his Wallsend home. Buried in St James' Benwell and a fine tablet is within the church. Piece from the Caledonian Mercury of 16th October 1843.
