day 1378: this beech tree is unfortunately due to come down next week as it has succumb to Beech Leaf Disease, despite our arborists doing what they could.

plz look into BLD if you have beeches 🌎

I wanted to paint this as a tribute to my 🌳 friend 💔

This is the fascinating #BoogieWoogieBug, (Beech Blight Aphid). Amazing Ecosystem around it. Dance when disturbed/pee honeydew (sugar): produce Sooty Mould/fed on by #HoneydewEater fungus. Sallow moths also feed on honeydew: all may be lost because of the new #BeechLeafDisease.
