The final day in Aarhus 🇩🇰 was all about turning three days of discussions into action 🧵

This week, the @beagle-project.eu, focused on biodiversity monitoring across terrestrial, freshwater & marine ecosystems, kicked off in Aarhus, Denmark.

Two big topics for #BEAGLEkickoff day 2️⃣

🔍 Data gap analysis: pinpointing where reporting lacks sufficient data across taxa and regions

🤝 Community building: engaging stakeholders to boost participatory science, help people publish their data & get outputs into the right hands for further use

At the #BEAGLEkickoff, we also got to know our sister project @nextbon.bsky.social
It will build a biodiversity #monitoring system for Europe, combining satellite imagery, national habitat and species assessments, and local studies using sensors, eDNA and AI, to produce data that support policy
