Yep
The BC Govt had only a 1-seat majority
The BC Conservatives took advantage of this & tried to collapse the govt 13 times
& almost succeeded several times
Had my BC NDP MLA not voted from hospital *hours* after giving birth, we'd have had a #bcelxn 18 months ago

The most shocking part is BC Con leader Doerkson claiming "this isn't who BC Cons are."

Bruh. This is exactly who you are. An entire new party (CentreBC) exists because those conservatives couldn't stand being associated with your bigoted party.

Side note: anyone in Summerland who doesn't want to vote NDP, your Green candidate is Bradley Bartsch.

As noted above, if you vote for BC Cons as protest vote, a party that doesn't believe in climate change, you are simply stupid.

The irony is the right wing BC Cons have a chance of winning Penticton-Summerland because people in Summerland are angry with the gov't.

Now, Eby's NDP haven't been great on climate action. But the BC Cons don't believe in climate change.

In summary, humans are stupid. 🤷

The BC Conservative leader claims healthcare would be "publicly funded, universally accessible"

Meanwhile, the conservative govts of Ontario & Alberta are using *public funds* to fund two-tier, privatized healthcare

How do we know that the BC Cons won't do that?

David Eby and the BC NDP have done a good job on the economy...and on that basis alone they deserve another mandate

#bcpoli #bcelxn Palmer nailed it writing “…voters must be asking what else Doerkson is planning that he has only shared with a handful of self-interested insiders.” Issue goes far beyond ICBC. BC Con credibility is a zero.

@keddieff.bsky.socialOct 8, 2026, 5:19 AM

Is this what British Columbians want?
The conservative govts of Ontario & Alberta are steadily privatizing healthcare
The BC Conservatives have yet to explicitly rule it out
& they've *not* explicitly committed to protecting BC's Publicly Administered, Single-Payer healthcare system

#bcpoli #bcelxn Since we now know that Doerkson and his BC Conservatives are hiding their policies from voters, will they say whether like last elxn they still would fire Dr Bonnie Henry and whether they support getting Covid boosters.

Just a reminder of how David Eby & the BC NDP have been Working for You
Not needing an in-person visit for renewals/replacements saves British Columbians time & money
No need to take time off from work
Also very helpful for those who are ill or elderly or disabled

I worry that BC Conservatives might usher in for-profit, two-tier healthcare, as Conservative govts in both Alberta & Ontario have done
In Ontario, wait times have increased, costs are higher & staff are being poached from Public Healthcare facilities

A reminder for British Columbians that BC has among the lowest car insurance rates in Canada.

Provinces with public insurance have much lower rates.

Privatization is a scam.

#cdnpoli #bcpoli #BCelxn

The provinces with public auto insurance (BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Quebec) have the lowest rates.

It's extremely impressive by the BC Greens to field 73 candidates in this BC election, with such short notice of an election.

They are currently the only party in BC fighting for climate action, in a province devastated by climate disasters. They will get a lot of votes.
