An orphan is an orphan. 🦉 I’ve seen what happens when baby Barred Owls lose food and family. Their welfare deserves serious attention as lethal management continues. #BarredOwls #HootDontShoot #WildlifeConservation

Saturday morning so far: a fox wandered by overnight, hummers are zipping all around and Mom owl dropped in to watch some goldfish swimming around before bedtime. AND I don't have to mow today! #birds #fox #barredowls

They call her invasive. I call her worth saving. 🦉💔 Save Barred Owls. HOOT DON’T SHOOT.

I photographed this baby safely, with a healthy Mom and Dad nearby.

But babies just like this West Coast USA are growing up without theirs. Their parents are being lured from the forest & met with a bullet.
