Tl;dr: It was fine. Glad to finally check this one off the list, but not interested in returning for the sequel. A bit too simple and took too long for things to get interesting. I'll watch a lore video for the rest of the story.

Playyed this with my friends over at #BacklogHatersClub and really enjoyed the Djinn system that determines your class and abilities. Fun puzzle dungeons, monsters, and story.
My first GBA playthrough was deleted so I started over with NSO.

@thelordreylus.bsky.socialAn unfortunate event tonight while playing Golden Sun for my #BacklogHatersClub monthly game. I saved my 8.5h game and turned my DS back on to check my save and it was gone. Unsure if it was because it's a repro cartridge but it's most likely due to turning off after I thought it was safe to save.
