Summary:
He tried to shape out the words, but his mouth felt wrong. His tongue. How he hadn’t noticed it until then, he didn’t know, but this unfamiliar body lacked a tongue.

He could cry out, but he wouldn’t be able to say anything intelligible – and maybe that was by design. Maybe this had been Fandaniel’s plan all along, to drop him just far enough away that he’d never be able to make it in time and take away the only other way he’d be able to stop them. To force him to watch his own body-

No, he couldn’t think about that.

An Impossible Dream

Hien and Fafnir get married in the event of the century. The entire star is overjoyed to celebrate their love. If only Fafnir wanted to be there.

+AUTUMN REPOST+

Day 1 || Dreams

From the RoseMartyn Office Worker AU. Rosaline needs to spend less time on the clock daydreaming about making out with her boss and more time getting work done. Although I can't blame her - daydreaming is way more fun than spreadsheets.

#AutumnRepost | #RoseMartyn

We are now seeing Rosaline's daydream. She is dressed in her more casual clothes. Martyn has his arms around her, leaning towards her face and neck intimately. Her daydream self says, "Oh sir, what will HR have to say about this?" as she leans into his embrace.

I Can't Let it Go and I Can't Get Through

I Can't Let it Go and I Can't Get Through
by TalesOfTheFox

Summary: In a rare moment of down time, the Warrior of Light ruminates on a complicated relationship, and gets some unwanted (but very much needed) advice from a friend.

He had a rare afternoon where no one seemed to need him for anything, and he was determined to finish the treatise on ice spells he’d finally convinced the Thaumaturges’ Guild to loan him. If only he could keep his thoughts from drifting to a different sort of magic—or a different sort of mage.

I've never really linked many of my stories from here, so maybe #AutumnRepost is a good opportunity!

Day 1: Dream

"Dreams and Oaths" by TheLittlestHimbo (SFW)
archiveofourown.org/works/50645008

Flames are rekindled and dreams intertwined for Haurchefant and the Warrior of Light.

Summary:
"Have I changed, these past cold years, as Camp Dragonhead became less a posting and more a home? I have dug myself in here, Lord of the greatest crossing of Coerthas, watching over every caravan; that Ishgard may have all that it needs to thrive, even in these trying times. Have I room to want something that endures?"

When an old friend finally returns, now much grown in esteem and renown, Haurchefant Greystone is not prepared for how easily their prior flame is rekindled - nor how their lives and oaths and dreams become intertwined.

Notes:
Set during ARR patch quests (which - in their current state, at least - I think are pretty great.) See the first story in the series, Light and Warmth, for their initial bonding and (what they assumed at the time would be) a one-night stand.

Day 1: Dreams

A really important part of my "Uvshu" stories since it helped me establish a headcanon for Shunye's wife and child that he lost 🥺😭

Writing the dream sequence late at night helped me picture it better.

Yes, technically I did remake this shot later for NG+, and I don't want to use any NG+ shots for #AutumnRepost, since those are being posted slowly but surely. (You can find them with #MisagoARR and #MisagoARRX so far!) But this was such a formative gpose for sprout me, I wanted to revisit it today!

Suddenly, Kaeso appears next to him. We are looking at them from behind, unable to see their faces.

Finally, Zenos turns to Kaeso. He looks unsettled.

"Kaeso" looks back at him. But his face is blank and featureless.

#AutumnRepost Day 1: Dreams

Poor Katt and her reoccurring nightmares.
One of my favorites from WoLSphene week.

#KattPose

A screenshot from Final Fantasy XIV. Katt, in her full queenly attire, kneels in a pool of water, covering her face, peeking out with one eye. A multitude of Eternal Sphene's arms rise up from the water, reaching for Katt as i f to drag her down. Several of Eternal Sphene's heads are also poking through the water.
