Today we were exploring relaxed painting in Art Class, using technique of Wet on Wet with acrylics. First splashes of water, then dabbing colour into it. Both "Autumn Border" & "Rowan Corner" are awaiting further contrasts & added definition. 🖼 🍂 🎨 🌳 🖌 #AmPainting #Trees #AutumnColour

"Autumn Border" has spinach & red lettuce leaves in foreground with patches of blue borage flowers & orange marigolds & a pink pot of bedding plants. All picked out in splashy dabs of blue, pink, orange & green against hazy red brick wall behind.

"Rowan Corner" shows a mature rowan tree with bunches of scarlet berries & green leaves against a blue sky. Purple branches & trunk and two lime-green shrubs beneath with a metal fence in front. All is lightly sketched in transparent washes with some more vivid details on top.
