@lizhedgecock.bsky.social...so I’m counting that as an early Christmas present - and I guess you could too! mybook.to/bookshopbox2
3) Otherwise, I’ve made progress on lots of things - edits (both mine and other people’s), promotional stuff... #booksky #fantasyromcom #authorupdate #audiobook #newbook #booklaunch 3/?
@lizhedgecock.bsky.socialBook's launching Thursday 29 October - not long to wait! Here's the link: mybook.to/LBay3
2) I also have a date for the audiobook of The Magical Bookshop books 4-6 - December 10! I wasn’t sure it would be this year...

@lizhedgecock.bsky.socialTGI Friday - more than ready for the weekend! Here are this week’s highlights:
1) As beta feedback so far has been so good for A Tale of Books and Potions, @paulasharmon.bsky.social and I have put it on preorder!

@lizhedgecock.bsky.socialI am thinking about changing the Sherlock & Jack covers, but for now they’re up as they are. If you’re interested in reading the books, search for the title with my name on Amazon.
Have a great weekend - I’m off to start mine now! #booksky #historicalmystery #authorupdate #thiswritinglife 6/6
@lizhedgecock.bsky.social4) I have the rights back to the ebooks for the Mrs Hudson & Sherlock Holmes and the Sherlock & Jack series! So I’ve spent a big chunk of the last 2 days putting them back up on Amazon. Seriously, it’s so fiddly. #booksky #historicalmystery #authorupdate #thiswritinglife 5/?
@lizhedgecock.bsky.social...get Boots and Panties in shape to send to beta-readers, a bit of painting and sketching - I have also been having conversations with Amazon, BECAUSE
(drumroll)
...

@lizhedgecock.bsky.social...because she’s prepping to do the recording! Squeee! I don’t know when it will be finished and available, but you’ll know when I do!
3) As well as standard activities - start new client edit, continue readthrough of Maisie book 8...
#booksky #historicalmystery #authorupdate #thiswritinglife 3/?
@lizhedgecock.bsky.social...so I’ve taken to calling it New Boots and Panties (I don’t think there are any of either in the book, but still)
2) I ended up chatting with the voice artist who’s recording the audiobook of The Magical Bookshop books 4-6...

@lizhedgecock.bsky.socialTime for the Friday update - it’s been a busy week, and yes I do have news!
1) We finalised the cover for the next Lulmouth Bay book, A Tale of Books and Potions. For some reason, I can never remember the title...

@sillauthor.bsky.socialDAY 13 Update - 16 #Kickstarter backers, still. I'd love to hit 25 and feel less uneasy about paying this #RedDemon #audiobook and print run off. Only 200 of these glow in the dark hardcover #books will be created.

@lizhedgecock.bsky.social...I’d expect Maisie 8 to be out before the end of the year.

@lizhedgecock.bsky.socialIt seems to be hanging together well so far, though there may be some trimming to do in the first quarter - but that’s doable. Provided I don’t find anything more problematic in the second half (fingers crossed)...

@lizhedgecock.bsky.social...and hopefully that will be licked into shape soon and we can put up a preorder!
- I’ve been reading through the draft of Maisie Frobisher book 8 and I’ve just reached halfway. #booksky #authorupdate #romanticfantasy #fantasyromance #historicalmystery 5/?
