‘Rocket ship is returning to earth; it is about 3,000 miles out from moon. Dark side of moon is never visible to earth.’

‘Sun’s eclipse by earth as it appears from the moon. Earth looks four times as large as the moon looks to us from position on earth.’

‘At 10 miles above the moon’s pole, the gigantic craters and jagged ridges present an awesome picture. Temperature of shadows is far below Zero; in sun it is hundreds of degrees.’

‘As the moon is approached by our rocket ship, its craters, seas and mountain ranges become visible; here, ship is 500 miles above its surface. Moon is terrestrial body with no atmosphere.’

‘The moon, “new” phase, is 15,000 miles away (below); beyond is Scorpio and a part of the Milky Way. Earth-light is illuminating the dark surface of the moon.’

‘We are 35,000 miles from the earth (above). Constellation of Orion is at left, Pleiades at upper right. Space ship at lower right is ½ mile away.’

‘Ship No. 1, containing the passengers, leaves Ship No. 2 at an altitude of 1,200 miles above Kansas. Pacific Coast is visible from San Diego to Puget Sound.’
